Domain setup allows you to configure a subdomain in just a few easy steps. All you need is access to the DNS table of your main domain to add a few required records.
Add the desired name of the subdomain in the Publish -> Domain Setup section. Please make sure you have access to the DNS of the root domain.
The iR Platform will generate a CNAME record that you need to add to the DNS table of your domain. This record is essential for setting up the certificate required to enable a secure HTTPS connection.
Here is an example on how the DNS record will look like on cloudflare:
Once the first record from the step 2 is added, you need to wait, once this record will be recognized by our system. You will see that the record status is changed from Pending to Valid:
After the domain becomes Valid, you have to make it Public:
Once you press the button to make the domain public, a notification will appear, informing you that DNS propagation may take some time. Additionally, the required CNAME record will be displayed after DNS is propagated, which you need to add to your DNS settings for the configuration to complete (Step 5).
Add the second CNAME record to your DNS table after completing step 4 (DNS propagation).
Please note, this option may appear with a delay (up to 1 day), as it takes time for DNS to recognize the newly added record from the step 4:
Usually, 2nd CNAME will appear within the 1st hour. You can always, try to press "Make public" again to refetch the status.
After 2nd DNS record is added, you can click on the "Refresh Domain" to refetch the status. If everything is succesfull, you will see "Live status", so you can load your epxerience using your subdomain url:
